RP#3- It All Comes Down

Opening in nearby pitch darkness, and the location unknown for the time being, a car begins to arrive at the scenery. Nearby trees blow furiously as the car stops suddenly, and the driver gets out, and still has one arm in the car and is talking to someone in the car, who opens the opposite car door. The person points their arm, which has an object still pointed in the direction of this person, who begins walking forward with his back turned to the other person. Although it is still dark, we hear the voice of the person walking, and it is identified as Mike Shiekman. However, the unknown person is still unidentified.

Mike Shiekman: So, you going to kill me then? Dump my body, have the cops find it here, identify me, you know. Then you live with the burden of killing your own son.

The person begins to laugh, and it sounds like a dark man's voice, so from what we know so far, this man is Mikes' father.

Father: Your no son of mine.

Yeah? Last time I checked, you were my natural father. Now, I swear to god, as soon as you let you guard down, I'll kill you.

Kill your own father? No. You’re too weak for that.

Oh, yeah? You know about everything I've done, right? Then you KNOW what I am capable of.

Indeed, but still...you killed strangers. You killed people because you felt no connection to them. I MADE YOU WHAT YOU ARE! And hence, you cannot kill me.

Mike begins to laugh and turns to face his father, who grins and doesn't seem intimidated.

Dad, let me tell you something. YOU were out of my life for my changes. I am not you anymore. You may have tried to control me, but no more. Kill me. Go ahead. BANG! BANG! I've done everything I have wanted to do. But if you do, you will die. I'll make sure you join our family up in Heaven. Well, the Lunacchio Family will be rotting in Hell, as you will too.

Mike's father smacks his son with the butt of his gun at the back of his head, which sends Mike down to the ground. Mike still laughs as he lifts himself up and his father circles him before cocking the gun towards his son's head.

I did what was best for our family. Your mother was so weak...but you ruined my life.

No, you were pissed off that I had something for myself, I career, you fucked with the family and I never could keep touch. You didn't get the bullet. I did.

Son, what makes you think I care about if you are a part of my family?

You got walked all over. I thought it was my fault that my family was torn to pieces. But now look...it's you all along.

Don't try shift blame. Ever since you left, my life has been torn apart.

Bullshit. You wanted me dead, and so you tore everything apart to make sure of that. And now you've done it. So pull the trigger, and get it over and done with...

If that is what you wish. Michael, I love you, but you really fucked things up...

Mike begins laughing and his father places his boot on his chest and cocks the gun towards his sons skull. A small noise is heard in the distance, and his father looks over to see a pair of headlights flashing.

Oh, I forgot to tell you, I had us followed.

You little shit! Couldn't you die without anybody trying to help you?

No. Because I'm more than you think I am. I'm not YOUR SON. I'm me. So bye Daddy...go fuck yourself and say hello to the Lunacchios while your down in Hell.

Two shots echo over the humidity and his father falls to the floor as the figure walks up to Mike, and Mike laughs. The identity of the third person is not yet clear, as Mike grabs the gun and unloads the rest into his fathers body, making sure he is permanently dead. His cold dead eyes of his fathers provide light of themselves as Mike looks down and realizes his other than his mom in rehab, he has no family anymore. The figure steps away to give him some space, but Mike turn to the figure.

Damn...thanks for saving my life. Guess I owe you one.

The figure's voice begins to speak, and the identity of the shooter is known as his good friend, Weaver Grohman.

Weaver Grohman: Don't ever make me do that again.

Say what? He's dead. And that's all that matters.

Hey...YOU may be a sick cold hearted killer, but I ain’t.

We need to burn this body before it's found. If this body IS found, I get jailed. I was seen here, so it's going to look bad.

I've never been south of Miami...but damn, it's hot.

Like your momma's bed.

Weaver laughs as he goes to the trunk of his rented car and pulls out a can of gasoline and pours it over the car which Mike's father drove towards this area. Mike drags his fathers body into the car and Weaver pours gasoline on that too before stepping away, as the whole car, also the body, is covered in gasoline. Mike then takes a match from his friend and lights it, then speaks.

Hey Dad...may the flames of Hell make sure you NEVER come back!

Mike throws the match and the two men begin running as the car literally explodes in a ball of flames. They rush towards the car Weaver drove in and drive off into the distance as the scene slowly fades to black.

The scene opens in the rented hotel room in Birmingham which we saw Mike before, as he is switching over the channels and see' a news report of the BBC of a burned car found with an unidentifiable body inside the vehicle with no possible means of identity. He goes towards the mailbox where he finds a piece of mail, unidentifiable. His eyes look confused as he opens up the package and a note is attached to yet another videotape. Mike looks at the note, his eyes glued onto it.

You really are a fool, Michael. I second-guessed your intelligence. Not seeing your Dad in over years, and you thought a hitman was your father? Pathetic. Why would I send myself out to kill you? Mind games. All of it. Making the man talk about being your son and everything. I like it how you killed him, beyond my wishes. I'll let you stir for a while before I make my reappearance.

And this time, you wont survive. Enjoy the remaining time you have left, before it's all over for you.

Daddy

Mike shakes his head in disbelief and mouths 'Fuck...' under his breath as Weaver appears from and see's Mike with his face buried in his hands.

What happened?

He's still alive, Weaver. That old bastard outsmarted me. That wasn’t him.

Say what?!?!

Don’t worry. We'll be all right for a while. But I have a feeling I only have some time left before he makes his grand entrance back into my life. And I have a feeling it won’t end good for me...

The scene then abruptly fades to darkness. But the message is clear. How long does Mike Shiekman have before his time is finally up? And what will his father do then? We can only tell in time, but one thing is for certain, Mike is safe for now. But for how long?
